香港少年隊杜凱琹獲雙料冠軍

香港少年隊杜凱琹獲雙料冠軍，在決賽中以三比二勝中華台北之崔寶文，繼韓國公開賽少年組女單賽連續兩個分站賽中奪冠；此外亦與拍擋吳嘉儀在雙打賽中，為港爭奪多一面金牌。

港隊在今次比賽中共獲五金三銀七銅之佳績，男子少年組孔嘉德未能戰勝新加坡周哲宇，而得一面銀牌；但雙打方面，香港少年組囊括三面獎牌。至於青年組，港隊只有李皓晴及吳穎嵐獲一面雙打銅牌。

Favourites Fall as Once Again Chinese Class Leads the Way

It was not a day for the favourites on Saturday 7th August 2010 in the quarter-finals of the Junior Girls’ event at the ITTF Junior Circuit event in Hong Kong China.

In each confrontation the higher ranked player experienced defeat with, as in the Junior Boys’ Singles competition, China being very much to the fore.

China enjoyed success in three of the four last eight contests; the one casualty being Yao Junyu.

香港隊在單打及雙打賽勢如破竹。四隊港少年組男雙進入四強，囊括所有獎牌，女少組吳嘉儀伙拍杜凱琹以三比二險勝日本之濱本由惟及馬場麻裕進入準決賽，亦穩奪一面銅牌，與中華台北隊明早爭入決賽。多位青少年球員亦進入八強，男子少年球員包括孔嘉德、孔鏵德及林兆恒。而女子少年球員包括蘇慧音、杜凱琹，王重云，而女子青年球員為李皓晴及吳穎嵐。

Top Two Seeds Tested in First Phase Contests in Hong Kong

The top four seeds in the Junior Boys’ Singles event at the Hong Kong Junior and Cadet Open duly completed the group stage of matches unbeaten on Friday 6th August 2010.

It was success for China’s Zheng Peifeng and Chen Xi, as it was for the Czech Republic’s Pavel Sirucek and Chinese Taipei’s Hung Tzu-Hsiang.

Quarter-finalist in the Girls’ Singles event on the ITTF Junior Circuit in Chengdu in June, China’s seventh seeded Zou Yang, was the one player amongst the elite to suffer defeat in the group stage of proceedings in the Girls’ Singles event at the Hong Kong Junior and Cadet Open on Friday 6th August 2010.

港隊團體賽獲兩金三銅佳績

15歲以下女子少年組，吳嘉儀、杜凱琹、王重云、蘇慧音及葉芷恩在首輪單打賽中，均以首名出線。

孔鏵德、孔嘉德、孔軍凱及李漢銘，在15歲以下的男子少年組，亦同樣以首名出線。

港隊團體賽獲兩金三銅佳績。女子少年團體由吳嘉儀領軍，連同杜凱琹，蘇慧音先取得一面金牌；而男子少年團體孔軍凱、孔鏵德及孔嘉德亦以三比二勝新加坡奪冠。此外，女子青年組李皓晴、吳穎嵐及管夢圓;女子少年王重云，林依諾及葉芷恩及男子少年組 洪振軒、林兆恒及李漢銘，分別取得三面銅牌。

China Secures Junior Girls’ Team Title as Hosts Secure Cadet Gold 

Success for China in the Junior Boys’ Team event at the Hong Kong Junior and Cadet Open on Thursday 5th August 2010 and there was also success in the counterpart Junior Girls’ Team competition.

The Chinese trio of Li Jiayi, Zheng Shichang and Yao Junyu emerged successful.

In 2009 the Hong Kong Junior Open gained the reputation of being one of very best presented tournaments on the ITTF Junior Circuit.

There is the theory that whatever the occasion, the next should be better than the one that went before.

It would seem that such a policy is being followed to the letter by the Hong Kong Table Tennis Association as they prepare for the 2010 Nikon Hong Kong Junior and Cadet Open.

In 2010 the tournament will be even better than 2009.

Hong Kong the Focus of Attention Prior to the YOG

The inaugural Youth Olympic Games moves ever closer; the ground breaking event will commence on Saturday 14th August and conclude on Thursday 26th August with the table tennis events being scheduled for the final week of activities.

Saturday 21st August 2010 is the starting date for the table tennis events.

Young players from the four corners of the world are looking ahead eagerly with travel plans in place for the journey to Singapore.

賽事新聞發布會

香港乒乓總會於今天舉行「2010藝康香港青少年公開賽–國際乒聯青少年巡迴賽」新聞發布會。

奧委會義務秘書長彭沖先生、康文署總康樂事務經理傅麗珍女士、藝康香港有限公司營業及市場部總經理葉滿泉先生及乒總主席余國樑太平紳士擔任主禮嘉賓，並聯同首屆青年奧運會香港代表球員吳嘉儀進行開展儀式。

今年賽事更被提升為“Premium”級別，除賽事獎金增至8,000美元外，更由原來只有的青年組(18歲以下)，再加入少年組(15歲以下) 賽事。每個組別均設有男女子單打、雙打及團體賽，共十二個比賽項目。

「2010藝康香港青少年公開賽–國際乒聯青少年巡迴賽」將於8月4至8日假灣仔伊利沙伯體育館舉行，並於7月中旬在各城市電腦售票網公開發售門票，門票不設劃位，部份門票更是免費。

香港乒乓總會喜獲國際乒乓球聯合會頒發嘉許狀

香港乒乓總會喜獲國際乒乓球聯合會於5月26日召開的同人大會中頒發嘉許狀，表揚去年主辦「國際乒聯青少年巡迴賽 - 第一屆香港青少年公開賽」時有傑出表現，並被評為是自2002開始有國際青少年巡迴賽，7年以來最傑出的主辦總會。

獎狀由香港乒乓總會主席余國樑太平紳士代表，從國際乒聯副會長Petra Sorling女士手中接過。

早於2009年「國際乒聯青少年巡迴賽 - 第一屆香港青少年公開賽」結束後，本會已獲國際乒聯之高度評價，有關內容 可按此 瀏覽。

Nikon Hong Kong Junior Open, an Opportunity to Officiate

The Hong Kong Table Tennis Association is pleased to invite six Blue Badge or prospective Blue Badge Umpires to officiate at the Nikon Hong Kong Junior Open to be staged from Wednesday 4th to Sunday 8th August 2010.

Full hospitality is offered from dinner on Tuesday 3rd August to breakfast on Monday 9th August 2010. Furthermore, in accordance with ITTF Directives, a daily allowance of $25.00 is provided.

The deadline for applications is Tuesday 1st June 2010.

Confirmations will be sent on Tuesday 15th June 2010.

香港青少年公開賽於2009年首次於香港舉行，取得空前成功，獲得國際乒聯之高度評價。今年度之香港青少年公開賽將再次於8月假香港伊利沙伯體育館舉行，賽事更獲得「升格」，並增加少年組別賽事，讓更多明日之星有機會於香港獻技。故此，今年度賽事將更具觀賞價值，於世界乒壇得到更多注目、更多報導是可以預期的。

Five Days in Hong Kong, Five Days to Take Your Breath Away

After five days of intense competition and enthralling action in the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium, the dust has settled; the bags have been packed, the farewells have been made.

The 16th ITTF Junior Circuit Tournament of the year is over; the first ever Hong Kong Junior Open has finished, it came to a successful conclusion on Sunday 9th August 2009.
